I’m taking on ACRF’s Brave Shave this World Cancer Research Day to raise vital funds for research into all cancers.
September 24th is World Cancer Research Day. I decided around a year ago that this September i wanted to shave my hair for cancer research. This year in September will mark 10 years since i lost my mum to a rare cancer called Thymoma. 10 years ago, only 2 people in Australia were diagnosed with Thymoma (that including my mum). I have set my goal for $1300 considering i only have a short amount of time to raise that amount but i have faith! It’s only been a matter of weeks since i set up my fundraising page and have already passed my original goal! I have set my new goal to $2000 in hopes we can reach that in just a matter of less than 2 weeks when it’s time to shave my hair.
