Yay! We Reached Our Goal (AGAIN)!

WE DID IT! A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout our ACRF Brave Shave 2026 journey 🥰 we’ve officially reached our team fundraising goal, and we honestly couldn’t have done it without all the amazing people behind us ~ everyone who donated, shared this page, encouraged us, and helped spread the word 🤍💜🖤 it's truly incredible to see what we’ve achieved together, and we're so grateful for every single person who has supported us along the way. And now that we’ve reached our goal… we’re setting another one! Let’s keep going and see how much more we can raise together for cancer research 💙

We just wanted to take a moment to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to our family’s and/or individual team members’ 2026 Brave Shave 🥰 thanks to your incredible generosity and support, we’ve now raised over $1,000! We’re getting so close to reaching our team goal, and we honestly couldn’t have gotten this far without all of you. Every donation, big or small, is helping us support such an important cause. It means more to our family, and I’m sure to all those out there who are suffering through circumstances similar to ours, than we can ever put into words. ACRF’s Brave Shave - World Cancer Research Day

We're taking on the ACRF Brave Shave to raise vital funds for cancer research, and we're doing it for someone very close to our heart. For me, it's my sister 🤍💜🖤

My sister is only 25 years old, and for years now she has been fighting a battle that no one her age should ever have to face. She has neuroendocrine cancer. For a short time, we got to hear the word we had desperately hoped for: remission. We were able to breathe, feel hopeful, and imagine that maybe, just maybe, the hardest part was behind us. Unfortunately, that relief didn’t last. The cancer came back, and this time it had spread. And yet, somehow, my sister continues to fight. She still puts other people first, she still tries to live her life and do the things she wants to do, she still makes time for the people she loves, and she continues to face an unimaginable amount of uncertainty with a strength that amazes me every single day.

She is currently taking part in a clinical trial, putting her hope and strength into finding something that might help her, and potentially help others facing similar cancers in the future.

As her sister, I wish more than anything that I could take this away from her. I wish I could carry the pain, the fear and the uncertainty for her. But I can’t... what I can do though, is stand beside her. So, I’m doing the ACRF Brave Shave for my sister 🤍💜🖤

Shaving, cutting and/or colouring my hair is such a small thing compared to what she has been through and continues to endure. But I hope that, in some small way, it shows her that she will never have to fight alone.

Cancer affects so many of us. Two in five Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, and even those who aren't diagnosed themselves will likely be closely affected by a cancer diagnosis in someone they love. 

That’s why cancer research matters so much to me. Research can lead to new discoveries, new treatments and new hope. It can mean more options for people when the treatment they have isn't working, it can mean more time with the people we love, and it can help change the future for people diagnosed with cancer.

We're raising money for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation because we want to help create more hope for people like my sister. We want there to be more treatments, more options, more smiles and more chances. We want a future where someone diagnosed with cancer, whether they're 25, 15 or 85, has every possible chance to beat it.

If you’re able to donate, please know that every dollar means so much to us, my sister and our family, as well as all of those out there who are also suffering from caner. Your support is helping contribute to research that could make a difference for people affected by cancer now and in the future. And if you can’t donate, that’s okay too.
