Meet Kaine Vakai – Brave Shave Ambassador 2026
Australian hair artist, educator and entrepreneur Kaine Vakai is joining Australian Cancer Research Foundation as the official ambassador for Brave Shave 2026.
As the founder and Creative Director of Haus of Vakai in Sydney, Kaine has built an international reputation for his creativity, technical expertise and passion for helping people feel confident. With a global following across social media, he's inspired millions through incredible hair transformations, education and his authentic, down-to-earth personality.
Kaine's involvement with Brave Shave is deeply personal. Having lost both of his grandmothers to cancer, he's passionate about helping fund the groundbreaking cancer research that gives families hope for a future free from this disease.
To launch Brave Shave 2026, Kaine and the team at Haus of Vakai will partner with ACRF to create a powerful hair transformations that celebrate courage, resilience and the impact of cancer research. The journeys will be captured through professional video and photography, sharing the stories of those with a personal connection to cancer who are making a brave commitment to raise funds for life-saving research.
These inspiring transformations will kick off our Brave Shave campaign, helping to spread the word across Australia, encourage more people to sign up, and show how a brave act can make a real difference. Through Kaine's creativity, storytelling and incredible community, we're excited to inspire thousands of Australians to shave, colour or cut their hair in support of the next breakthrough in cancer research.
