Im dedicating my challenge to my Dad, Bruce
I am taking on 60km In May for cancer research!
This May, I’m taking part in the Australian Cancer Research Foundation’s 60km challenge — walking and running to raise funds for lifesaving cancer research.
This cause is deeply personal to me. On the 2nd March 2026, I lost my dad to bowel cancer. A loss that has changed my world forever. Dad was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bowel cancer in September 2025 and operated on in November. Within 7 weeks, the cancer very quickly spread to his pancreas, liver and stomach. Unfortunately treatment was never an option. Watching someone you love go through this is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
That’s why this matters so much.
In Australia, 2 in 5 people will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Research is what gives families hope — hope for earlier detection, better treatments, and more time.
So this May, I’ll be moving 60km (and more) not just for a challenge, but for my dad and for every family facing this fight.
If you can, please support me — whether that’s donating, sharing or simply helping spread awareness. Every bit counts. Together we can help move closer to a future where no family has to experience this kind of loss.
