I'm Scotty, 51, a Network Engineer and Volunteer Fire & Rescue firefighter. In a moment of impulsivity (I have ADHD) I signed up to the 2027 World Police & Fire Games to compete in the Men's Jiu-Jitsu event, but there's one issue... I've never done Jiu-Jitsu.

My incredible stepdad, Steve, taught me the values of integrity, humility, respect and courage. When he passed away from cancer last year, I didn't just lose my Dad, but a friend and mentor. I dedicate this journey to him.
