We are taking on 60km In May for cancer research!
Hello! We are Lavender Pearls <3>
Lavender ribbon is representative of all cancers and general cancer awareness. Pearl ribbon symbolises lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide.
Cancer is where cell growth gets out of control, invading and spreading to other parts of the body. Cancer is a highly prevalent group of diseases and though there are treatments out there that may aid patients with different types of cancer, no cure has been found.
In order to find a cure, research is required, but research is costly.
That is why we're taking action, by taking part in Australian Cancer Research Foundation's '60km In May challenge'.
In May, we will be walking or running 60km or more in support of the 2 in 5 Australians who will face a cancer diagnosis by the age of 85.
By committing to support brilliant cancer research, we can help to transform the way we prevent, detect and treat ALL types of cancer.
Together, we can help make a change for not only current cancer patients, but for families, friends, and communities impacted.
