My Cancer Fundraising Journey for Mum — September 2026
This September, I’m taking part in Cancer fundraising to support vital cancer research — and this cause is incredibly personal to me. 💜
My beautiful mum was diagnosed with cancer in her 60s. I watched her go through the fear, uncertainty and challenges that came with treatment, while doing everything I could to be there for her and give back to the woman who has always given so much to me.
Thankfully, Mum has now been in remission for almost two years. ❤️ While we continue to hope and pray that she stays healthy, her cancer journey has changed the way I see life. She is my strength, and she has always been such an incredibly important person in my life. Being able to support her through her treatment — and still being able to spend precious time with her today — is something I will never take for granted.
Every day I get with my mum is a gift. Her journey has reminded me just how deeply cancer affects not only the person diagnosed, but their entire family and everyone who loves them.
I am raising vital funds to support the 2 in 5 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.
