"Shaving for a Cause: Supporting My Friends, Families, and Caregivers in the Fight Against Cancer"

As an oncology nurse, I’ve had the honor of caring for many brave patients battling cancer. But what I’ve also seen is the incredible strength and love that caregivers and families bring to the journey, often at their own expense. It’s not just the patients who endure; it’s their loved ones, too, who give everything to support and care for them during the toughest times.

Today, I am choosing to shave my head as a gesture of solidarity—not only with my friends who are fighting cancer, but with the caregivers and families who are also affected by this disease. For many, hair loss is one of the most visible aspects of cancer treatment. By shaving my hair, I hope to show both patients and their families that they are not alone. I stand with them in this fight—both as a nurse and as a friend.

This challenge is not just personal, but a call to action for all of us. Every dollar raised will go directly to cancer research, helping to advance treatments and find new solutions for those affected by cancer.
