I am taking on 60km In May for cancer research!
I’m taking part in the Australian Cancer Research Foundation 60km in May challenge to help raise essential funds for lifesaving cancer research.
This one is deeply personal.
A large portion of our family carries the PTEN genetic mutation a condition that significantly increases the risk of multiple cancers. I’ve already faced breast cancer myself, and we’ve seen just how aggressive and unforgiving cancer can be. My father-in-law was also diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and, heartbreakingly, passed away just 8 weeks later.
That’s why I’m committing to walk/run 60km this May.
Not just for awareness but for better research, earlier detection, and real outcomes for families like ours.
Right now, 2 in 5 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. We need to change that.
If you’re able to support, donate, or even just share it genuinely makes a difference.
Let’s push for a future where stories like ours aren’t so common.
