Hiking with Libby for her 58th birthday
I lost my best friend, Libby Walker in March this year, to cancer. She should be here celebrating her 58th birthday — instead, I’ll be walking every step of this journey for her.
I’m taking on the 240 km Larapinta Trail solo over 14 days to support the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) in their mission to achieve a world without cancer. Larapinta end to end was on Libby’s bucket list – So she will be with me in spirit on this hike all the way.
I’m raising vital funds because 2 in 5 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. With your support, we can change the future — improving how cancer is prevented, diagnosed, and treated, and giving families more time, more hope, and more moments together.

This is the gear I’ll be carrying on the Larapinta Trail — everything I need to live, walk, eat, and sleep for 14 days in remote country. Nothing fancy. Just what’s essential.
