I am taking on 60km In May for cancer research!
This May, I’m taking part in the Australian Cancer Research Foundation’s 60km in May Challenge, where I’ll be walking and running 60km or more to help raise essential funds for lifesaving cancer research.
This challenge has become deeply personal to me. My dad is currently battling cancer and is midway through radiation therapy after undergoing major surgery to remove a rare mucosal melanoma. Watching him navigate this journey with so much strength, resilience, and determination has been both heartbreaking and incredibly inspiring. Through it all, he continues to face each day with courage, reminding me just how important hope, support, and continued research truly are.
Like so many families, cancer has touched ours in ways we never expected. Knowing that 2 in 5 Australians will face a cancer diagnosis by the age of 85 is a reminder of why research matters so much. Every breakthrough in prevention, detection, and treatment has the potential to change — and save — lives.
