I am taking part in ACRF's 2km a Day in May challenge to help raise essential funds for lifesaving cancer research.

Every day in May, I will be moving for 2kms or more in support of the 2 in 5 Australians who will face a cancer diagnosis by the age of 85.

By committing to support brilliant cancer research, we can help to transform the way we prevent, detect and treat ALL types of cancer.

2km movement a day

May is here, and with it comes a new challenge! I'm excited to share that I'll be participating in the 2km a day in May challenge, a movement that encourages people to prioritize their physical and mental well-being by walking or running 2 kilometers every day for the entire month. 

Why I'm joining:
As someone who spends most of their day sitting in front of a screen, I know I need to make a change. This challenge is the perfect opportunity for me to get moving, clear my mind, and set a healthy habit. Plus, it's a great way to stay accountable and motivated with a community of like-minded individuals and supporting Cancer research along the way. 

My goals: - Complete 2km of walking, running, rowing or bike ride every day for the entire month of May - Increase my overall physical activity and reduce sedentary time - Improve my mental health and reduce stress through regular exercise - Connect with others participating in the challenge and build a supportive community 

How I plan to achieve it: - Schedule my 2km movement into my daily routine, whether it's first thing in the morning or during my lunch break - Mix up my route to keep things interesting and explore new neighborhoods - Invite friends and family to join me for added motivation and accountability - Track my progress and share updates on social media using the challenge hashtag. 

Conclusion: I'm excited to take on this challenge and make a positive impact on my health and well-being and raise fund for cancer research.
