Carol’s Walkers

2KM A Day In May Challenge

Carol’s Walkers Inspiration

From a young age Carol loved walking. She told many stories about her mum and Mrs Ruth packing lunch and heading out into the bush for a long walk with the children.
She passed on that love of bushwalking to her children , grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  We would all have memories of walking with Carol (and Kevin). The picture on this post is from when we climbed Mt Vaea in Samoa with her.
Carol passed away a few years ago after being diagnosed with first lung, then bowel cancer.
Carol set a great example of being active, walking and leading Tai Chi and Balance classes as long as she could.
Let’s get together and walk (or cycle/swim/run) to raise awareness of the urgent need for research into all kinds of cancer, and to raise funds for the brilliant people doing the research.  In honour of Carol and all the other people affected by it.

Walking for Carol

We are taking part in ACRF's 2km a Day in May challenge to help raise essential funds for lifesaving cancer research. Doing it in honour of Carol .

Every day in May, we will be moving for 2kms or more in support of the 2 in 5 Australians who will face a cancer diagnosis by the age of 85.

By committing to support brilliant cancer research, we can help to transform the way we prevent, detect and treat ALL types of cancer.

Let's move towards a cancer-free future together.

Great to see you “stepping” out in faith, Maree! Certainly a very worthwhile way to “walk” with God! Keep it up 💕
